Andeluna Pasionado Cabernet Franc 2016
Andeluna Cabernet Franc is one of the best wines to come from Andeluna Wines. Made only in the very best years this superb Cabernet Franc is aged in oak for 18 months in a mixture of American and French casks and then a further 8 months in bottle. The resulting wine is a stunning example of this grape variety and shows how amazing Cab Franc can actually be in the hands of a great winemaker. The Andeluna Pasionado Cabernet Franc is a multi award winning wine and is highly regarded throughout the wine world.

Vinification
After selecting the very best bunches, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in new French (85%) and American (15%) oak for eighteen months and for a further eight months in the bottle before release. This wine was hand crafted by winemaker, Silvio Alberto, in collaboration with Michel Rolland.
Viticulture
Grapes come from our vineyards located in Tupungato at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level. The plants are irrigated by a drop-water system that regulate and supply the exact amount of water that the plant needs.
Tasting Note
The Andeluna Pasionado Cabernet Franc has aromas of sweet red pepper, anise and cumin with notes of caramel, dark chocolate and spices. Flavors of ripe plum, oregano and black olives combine with notes of toasted almonds and spices to complement the sweet, silky tannins. This exceptional wine has a sweet entrance with a complex burst of fruit and spice and a long, elegant finish.
