Chateau Cantemerle Les Allees de Cantemerle 2012
Les Alles de Cantemerle is the second wine of Chateau Cantemerle and it has aromas of blackcurrant and tobacco are followed by smooth, silky tannins. This is a wine with great finesse that will age well but can be drunk young if necessary. The grapes are a classic blend of red Bordeaux varietals which pair wonderfully with red roast meats, game or strong cheeses.
Following enormous investment and changes both in the winery and vineyard management, this 5th classed growth is now proud of its heritage and justified place in the 1855 classification. This second wine of Chateau Cantemerle comes mainly from the chateau's young vines, and is made like its elder brother. Les Alles de Cantemerle has the same personality as the grand vin but is ready to drink earlier.
