The Cuvee Marie Christine Provence Rosé wine has a fresh nose composed of citrus aromas such as orange and grapefruit complemented by a full, spicy and fleshy palate with refreshing acidity. This is Provencal rosé at its best and this wine represents superb value for money. We recommend serving this wine lightly chilled with Mediterranian or Asian spicy dishes where its dry summer fruit characters will work wonderfully well. The wine is bottled in the traditional Provence style bottle which is supposed to represent a womans body in all it's glory.
The Chateau de l'Aumerade is a 400 year old French vineyard located in the sheltered plain of Pierrefeu, in the heart of Provence and encompasses 550 hectares of vines under the watchful ownership of Henri Fabre. Its red, mineral rich soils elevate the quality from other areas of the Provence appellation. In 1950 the estate was awarded its first distinction and was designated as Cru Classe. The estate celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006.
Harvesting at the beginning of September. Gentle immediate pressing, selection of the different qualities juices, cooling to 13 degres. Static settling and 10 days of regulated alcoholic fermentation between 17 and 22°C to preserve the maximum of aromas and the quality of each grape variety. Racking and blending at the end of the year, tartaric stabilisation and filtration.
