Chateau Fortia Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2018 and 2020
The White Chateauneuf du Pape from Chateau Fortia is a truly delicious white wine. Made from a blend of three classic Rhone varietals this wine is deep golden in colour, rich, with pronounced mineral notes, dried apricots and hints of spice weaving across the palate. This remarkable White wine is best served chilled but not cold with white meats, seafood or creamy pasta and rice dishes.
Chateau Fortia is a symbolic estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, both for its location and its roots that are closely linked to that of its appellation. In 1929 due to the efforts of Baron Pierre Leroy, Chateauneuf du Pape became the first appellation with a set of winemaking regulations. Today his descendants carry on the long tradition.
Immediate pressing of the grapes. Cold settling of the juice. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled tanks. After racking the wine is aged on its lees in small tanks with regular stirrings. The wine is then bottled during the spring following the harvest.
