Château Lestrille 'Le Secret' Bordeaux Superieur 2015
Chateau Lestrille have made a beautiful red wine with their new Le Secret Bordeaux Superieur. This rich and powerful red wine is made from 100% Merlot grapes and it has intense black fruit flavours with integrated oak and soft velvety tannins.
At Château Lestrille, Estelle Roumage makes modern, fruit-driven wines. They use sustainable wine growing practices to respect the balance of the soil as they believe the essence of winemaking lies in the vineyard itself. They vinify each plot on their 40 hectare property seperately with tailor-made precision. The Château is located at the northern point of the Entre-deux-Mers appellation in the small town of St. Germain du Puch between Libourne and Bordeaux.
The vineyards are managed using sustainable viticultural practices. The utmost repect is given to the balance between the vines, their natual environment and the soil. These cool clay- based soils provide good water retention and impart a powerful quality to the final wine.
A wine made with the utmost care from the vines to the bottle, this is the result of the Château's top winemaking expertise. Each parcel was vinified separately in temperature controlled stainless steeltanks, followed by ageing in carefully selected barriques, enhancing the wine with elegance and complexity. The wine saw further ageing in bottle, pior to release.
A rich, powerful wine with a beautiful balance between roasted aromas and intense black fruit flavours. Structured, it has velvety tannins and well integrated oak, complemented by complex dark berry flavours, hints of cigar box and a smooth, elegant finish.
An approachable, yet stylish wine that serves as the perfect accompaniment to pan-fried steak and Sunday roasts.
