Domaine Courbis Champelrose 2013
Domaine Courbis dates from the 16th century and has been handed down from father to son since the start of the 20th century. The vineyards currently extend to 20 hectares (3Ha in Cornas, 4Ha Saint Joseph white and 13Ha Saint Joseph red) in the communes of Chateaubourg and Cornas. 18 hectares are planted on hillsides facing south and west. The wine cellar, built in 1980, is modern and is equipped temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Vinification
The grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and lightly pressed. Vinification takes place in sealed temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 30-32C. Maceration lasts 3 weeks and maximum colour is extracted. Aged in oak barrels, part new.

A full bodied and satisfying red wine made from 100% Syrah with a hint of blackcurrants, raspberries and violets in the background combined with spice and smoky notes. A wine for the connoisseur .
