Domaine Marc Morey is run by Bernard Mollard and with his wife, who is Marc Morey's daughter. The old cellar lies under their magnificent home, which was a former coaching inn and Marc Morey's family home for 100 years. Bernard Mollard's wines have become world renowned since the mid- nineties, producing some of the finest Chassagne Montrachets.
Fermentation starts in stainless steel tank with controlled temperature then transferred into oak casks (25% new oak) with battonage on the fine lees up to the completion of the malolactic fermentation. Racked after 10 months in barrel, fined and filtered before bottling. .
Grapes are harvested manually
Expressive and elegant white Burgundy with balanced oak and a lovely layered rich flavour with complementing minerality.
Everyday Serving Suggestion
A delight with shellfish, especially pan-fried scallops or lobster.
