South African Reds Taster Case of 6 bottles of amazing wine
Here we have our superb selection of 6 bottles of South African red wines. This country is in dire need of support for the wine industry and here at Wineman we want to help in any way we can. The government has banned alcohol sales since Covid-19 began and this has had a knock on effect with every winery. They have suffered with international sales, export issues, restaurants, hotels and bar sales practically non existent and relying on people like me who sell their wines online to give them some sort of income.
The devastating effect on this industry is truly awful......so why not help these lovely people out and buy a case or two of their wines either from this selection or just any South African wines.
The mixture of red wines in this superb case are as follows
From the family owned and run Ernst Gouws & Co we have their delightful Pinot Noir, filled with jammy fruit and soft tannins this is a delicious, light and stylish red wine.
From one of South Africa's oldest and most celebrated wineries, Groot Constantia we are proud to sell their Constantia Shiraz. Rich, spicy and intense this is phenomenal value for money.
South Africa is famous for it's Pinotage but some can taste like burnt tyres and can be awful. Pinotage like the one Olifantsberg makes is delicious, rich, complex and filled with character.
The Swartland Winery makes superb value for money wines from grapes that normally grow in the South of France. The Founders Merlot is soft and juicy and soooo easy to drink.
They have also created a Limited Release Mourvedre which is one of the principle varietals in the Rhone and used in many Chateauneuf du Pape blends. On it's own it's filled with chocolate and rich flavours that make this a superb wine.
Let's finish with a Tuesday night Pinotage from Wild Garden, easy drinking and mellow tannins it's a perfect wine to just enjoy on it's own.
