Weingut Anton Finkenauer Kreuznacher Riesling QbA Trocken 2020
The Kreutznacher Riesling Trocken from Anton Finkenauer is a dry Riesling with superb lime fruit and spice characteristics that lead to a whistle dry finish. This wine pairs superbly with oysters, salads and even creamy Camembert Cheese. It is a superb wine to show that Riesling really can be brilliant when placed in the right hands. We recommend serving it lightly chilled to showcase the delightful fruit characteristics.
In 1925 the winery of Anton and Carl Finkenauer was split as the two brothers wanted to go their own way. Since then there have been two wineries with the same name situated just a few metres away from each. Weingut Anton Finkenauer is a family company offering well made and attractively priced wines with an annual volume of 60,000 bottles.
Vinification
Cool fermented to retain the fruity character with a good balance of acidity.
Tasting Note
This wine's great balance between sugar and acidity makes it a good representative of the wines from the Nahe region. A young, streamlined and fruity wine with just a hint of refreshing spritz on the palate
Everyday Serving Suggestion
Anton Finkenauer Kreuznacher Riesling is great with green salads (nicoise), creamy Camembert and great with seafood particularly oysters
